Job Details:-

Gauhati High Court invites Applications from the citizen of India as defined under Article 5 and 6 of the Constitution of India for filling up the following vacant posts of Library Assistants in the Principal Seat of Gauhati High Court.

Library Assistants

Eligibility criteria:- The candidate should be a Graduate with degree or diploma in Library Science from a recognized University having proficiency in the use of computer. Preference will be given to a law graduate.

No. of posts:- 2 (two)

Pay Scale:- Rs. 5200-20200, Grade Pay – 3000 (PB – 2)/- P.M. plus other allowances as admissible under the Rules.

Age limit:- Not less than 18 years and more than 38 years of age as on the last date of submission of applications. The upper age limit will be relaxable by 5 years in case of candidates belonging to SC and ST category.

Examination fees:- Treasury Challan of Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only [Rs.50/- (Rupees fifty) in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST] to be deposited under the Head of Accounts “0070-Other Administrative Services-60- Other Services-800-Other receipts (Examination Fee)”

Selection Procedure:-

The Selection shall consist of: 1. A Written examination of 100 marks consisting of objective type questions with multiple choices. The written examination shall comprise of objective type questions related to the subject in question, General English, General Knowledge, General Aptitude etc. 2. A viva-voce test of 25 marks.
